TOWN OF UNITY- Landfill Custodian

Reporting to the Director of Public Works, the “Landfill Custodian” will be involved in

  • Daily Operation & Maintenance of the Unity Landfill in accordance with established Job Description
  • Manual labour
  • All other duties as detailed by the Director or his representative
  • Salary in accordance with CUPE #2752 wage grid as negotiated
  • Attractive Benefits Package

Qualifications and Credentials

  • Preferred Gr 12 or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of operation of municipal sanitation equipment
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license and Current Drivers abstract
  • Air Brake endorsement would be an asset, or willing and able to obtain within 6 months of hiring
  • First Aid & CPR
  • Able to use power tools efficiently and safely
  • Criminal Record Check
